This book is the culmination of a collaborative work between scientists and artists from different universities and schools of higher education, which began in April 2019 with the international project Herbart, Art and Science at the Confluence, in Barcelona and ended in July 2021. In this project, flora and herbarium were approached as a source of inspiration, study and reflection, from creative and scientific perspectives.
Participating artists and botanical researchers met to share processes, identify territories of interdisciplinary collaboration and find confluences between artistic creation, genetics and plant evolution, starting from the herbarium as a shared archive.
