The garden of the Historical Building of the University of Barcelona has three characteristics that make it attractive. It is historical, has elements of a botanical garden and constitutes one of the most important green areas of the Barcelona Eixample. This book contributes to the multidisciplinary nature, by relating 101 plants of the Ferran Soldevila garden with literature, through quotations that refer to them from very diverse writers from a chronological, geographical, linguistic and stylistic point of view. It wants to act as a link between two worlds, the humanist and the scientific, which are still too distant and opposed, establishing a dialogue between the two. Science, letters and art are twinned in this work, which uses and claims the garden, with a polyphonic approach that invites readers to share and make this space their own.
